Process

1. Decide what area interests you most.

2. Construct a question that outlines what area you are looking into.

This could include the differing policies of the US, Britain, Russia, Germany, France and China.

What major historical events prior to the 'intervention' could have had an impact? Do you think this garnered support for the war?

Why did the UN secretary general Kofi Annan say, before the war, in reference to America's intention to go to war with Iraq, "If this action is to take place without the support of the Council, its legitimacy will be questioned..."?

3. Research the web

You do not have to go beyond the web links given, nor do you have to read everything on the page. Seek out the relevant information to the question you are asking.

4. From the research you have done, make a judgement. Were the US and British forces justified in going into Iraq? Is there evidence? Was it the US and Britain or the UN that failed to comply with what needed to be done in the face of the Iraqi crisis?
