Woke up at some ungodly hour to go to this camp fair which was meant to start at 12 but ended up starting at 10!!! Cheers Kevin. Anyway when we got there we were greeted by a very very hungover Bev, this I found funny until I saw Kevin who was whiter than normal and not looking too well!!! After the ridiculing stopped Kevin told us our job description for the day which basically meant that we had to give him our blood and become slaves for the day.
After 5 hours of extreme fun we were allowed to leave to go and get changed so that we would arrive on time (a point that Kevin made clear to us saying 'there's always one loser that's late')
On the way home we got all our beer and cider (which is the drink of Gods) and had our showers and a few drinks and made our way to the tube. After finally getting Ciaran onto the train we all arrived at Leicester Square and to Pizza Express. Some people were already there and when we got there, there was only one person missing... KEVIN!! He finally turned up after having a walk to China Town to build up an apetite. The meal was good and I think that we managed to ruin anyone's romantic valentines meal by being a bit loud, some more than others!
The meal finished so we went to a 'trendy wine bar'. However, Mike, Kevin and myself decided that we would take a slow walk and on Kevin's suggestion stopped to look at some shops. We had a plan that as long as we didn't lose Neil we'd be ok, but for some strange reason for the first time I have ever known, Neil went quiet and we got lost. After being attacked by the good old 'Big Issue' man Bev came to our rescue.
We spent about an hour at this place where your change is given to you on a silver platter, therefore increasing the price of every drink by 50%, and decided to make a move back to the appartments.
Once back the real drinking began. However, some people (especially the Americans in the group) don't know a good drink when it is offered to them!! As the night went on people made challenges that they wish they hadn't. The drinking and the photo shoots went on until about 4.15 when everyone was finding it a bit hard to keep awake. Others were still enjoying the prospect of 5 pound for a weekend of not smoking!!! (Cheers Katie still going strong!!!)
Sunday morning was the worst morning I have had in a while although I hear that some were worse than others and had to go back to their own appartment! However, the more dedicated of the faithful went to the pub for a round of golf, food and another few pints of Strongbow (drink of the Gods). This helped for about 10 minutes before the hangovers kicked back in.
One of the best weekends I've had in a long time and it was made so much better by seeing so many really good friends all having fun... and seeing the camp director drink!
Thanks Kevin, Mary and Daisy for a great weekend. You guys rock.
